River City Pipes & Drums, Wichita’s premiere Scottish bagpipe band, presents our annual celebration of the life & works of Robert Burns. The concert starts at 7:30 PM, family-friendly and free to the public of all ages. Special musical guests Jacob Shepherd on Scottish fiddle, and Sam Loomis singing the lyrics of Robert Burns. Keynote address by Scottish author Stephen Dobson.
■ 1 Million Cups | January 25
Where: Groover Labs
1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Every Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m., one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors.
■ Thursday Night Pinball League | January 26
Where: The Arcade
Doors at The Arcade open at 6pm. League games will begin at 6:30pm, no practice games will be allowed on league games after this point. This league will run for 7 weeks, 6 weeks of qualifying and 1 week of finals. Only your best 4 of the 6 weeks of qualifying will be used to determine finals placement. Lowest 2 weeks scores will not be used. Each qualifying week, beginning January 5th, and running through February 9th, will consist of a 5 game bank. Format for qualifying weeks is Best Game, one attempt per machine.

St. Anthony Lion and Dragon Dance Team is back at Chicken N Pickle. Each year they collaborate with the community to put on a Chinese New Year’s performance that highlights the uniqueness of Chinese culture while honoring diverse traditions. The performers do a great job of bringing the story to life with their fun costumes and upbeat activities. They bring the Chinese New Year’s experience to life through lion dance, a traditional art of strength, balance, intuition and grace.
■ Snow Glow | January 27
Where: Mid-America All-Indian Museum
It’s a night sledding event you’ll never forget, featuring music provided by DJ Karetaker, LED light show, food trucks, and snow provided by Snow Bros Snowmakers. Pre-registration is required and will be available on our website. Bring a nonmetal sled and enjoy playing in artificial snow. *Event is subject to change due to weather conditions.

What is “THE BEER FEST”?. We are gathering our Brewery friends from across the COUNTRY to come to Wichita, Kansas to help raise money and awareness for Mental Health. 24% of Men face some sort of mental health issue and only about 1 in 10 men seek help due to the stigma of being a man. Suicide among males is 4x higher than it is among females. “The Man Project” is a foundation focusing on suicide prevention and assembling focus groups to break down the stigma that men carry.

Featuring a star studded all female lineup. Katharine Elders from Elderslie Farm and 1400 by Elderslie which is her new spot located in The Wichita Art Museum makes a return to our kitchen for the second time in this series. Teaming up with Kristina Grappo from Viola’s Pantry to bring you a taste of all the regions of Italy. Attendees will experience flavors and traditions from all Italian cultures including liquors, beers, wines and cocktails curated in a course paired menu from First Mile Cantine’s very own Hannah Rochelle Hildreth. As always the evening will be entertained by local musicians throughout the evening.
