For years, it’s been known as Judy’s Club. A place I’ve been to a few times thanks to some southside bar hopping. Recently, there was a change in ownership along with some renovations to the space. Judy’s Club is no more and it’s time to welcome The Sky Bar.

We dropped by on Saturday night to check out the space as they were having a grand opening. Thanks to the new Wichita Live Music Calendar, I noticed that The Dirty Gentlemen had a live show there that evening.
The new owners did a fantastic job of renovating the old Judy’s Club space. The patio was packed so I didn’t get any pictures, but did snap a few of other areas of The Sky Bar. Unfortunately, someone stole the shuffleboard pucks (who does that?), so we weren’t able to play.
We hung out for a couple of hours and just enjoyed each other’s company. It was a low-key, chill vibe with excellent drink prices, which went hand in hand with what I love about so many south side bars. This was definitely my crowd and scene.
As we were leaving, The Dirty Gentlemen were setting up to play, but unfortunately, we had to be home not long after.
