I’m guessing most people probably haven’t been to The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport at 2098 S. Airport Road. If you ever do, you may run into a bellman named Adam, who is telling everyone about The DoubleTree Cookie. Don’t ignore him, they are the real deal.
The cookies are given out complimentary to guests who stay, but they can also be purchased in a tin of six cookies for $13 and change. They are some of the most surprisingly good chocolate chip cookies I’ve had. Do they beat the homemade ones, my family makes at home? Of course not, homemade rarely loses.
But these were definitely delicious, soft, warm, and loaded with chocolate. For those curious, they do contain walnuts.
And yes, I also purchased a tin. I still can’t believe I drove all the way to the airport just for a tin of cookies. But I did, and I’m not regretting a single second of it.
