Awards Watch Party Fundraiser | March 12
Where: Tallgrass Film Association
Join Tallgrass Film Association for a watch party of the 95th Academy Awards and fundraiser for education efforts during our 21st year! Enjoy food, drinks, and mingling in the Candela at the Lux hosted by Wichita’s Golden Girls with the Awards in the background. Or for the hardcore fans grab a comfy recliner in the Tallgrass Film Center (just steps away from the Candela!) for a quieter Oscar viewing.

■ 37th annual Academy Award Short Film Festival | March 7
Where: Advanced Learning Center
The 37th annual Academy Award Short Film Festival, presented by Wichita Public Library, runs March 4-11 at several locations in and around Wichita. Each year, Wichita Public Library screens the nominated short films in the live action, animation and documentary categories.

■ 1 Million Cups | March 8
Where: Groover Labs
1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Every Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m., one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors.

■ Lunafest | March 8
Where: Orpheum Theatre
Welcome to the 69th Home Show presented by the Wichita Area Builders Association. Come see what new for 2023.

■ Thursday Night Pinball League | March 9
Where: The Arcade
Doors at The Arcade open at 6pm. League games will begin at 6:30pm, no practice games will be allowed on league games after this point. This league will run for 7 weeks, 6 weeks of qualifying and 1 week of finals. Only your best 4 of the 6 weeks of qualifying will be used to determine finals placement. Lowest 2 weeks scores will not be used.

■ Adult Skate Night | March 10

■ Wichita Flea Market | March 11-12

 Wichita Hoops
Come walk the aisles at Wichita Hoops and shop small through the 200+ booths that include antiques, crafts, vintage items, collectibles, primitives, reclaimed items, comics, artwork, jewelry, toys, and so much more in this monthly flea market operated by a local Wichita Family.

■ Wichita Brewing Co. Relay Marathon | March 12
Where:
 Wichita Brewing Company
This will be our seventh annual marathon/relay marathon from Wichita Brewing Company West to Wichita Brewing Company East. The course is USATF certified for the serious runners. But, will be set up with five interchanges for teams of six runners to run the marathon. The course will stick to the Wichita bike paths as much as possible for the safety of all the runners.


St. Patrick’s Day Events

Saturday, March 11

12th Annual Kegs & Eggs at The Pumphouse
Where: 825 E. 2nd Street | 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Get ready for our 12th Annual KEGS & EGGS, Saturday March 11, 2023! Doors open for breakfast at 8:00 AM, and the green beer, Guiness, and Tullamore Dew will be flowing all day. Get here early!

Fake Patty’s Day at PourHouse
Where: 711 E. Douglas | 10 a.m. 
Is it every REALLY too early to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? We think not! Join us on Saturday, March 11th for a day full of St. Pat’s shenanigans. $3 Warbeard pints and $4 Shamrock Shots will keep you celebrating like the Irish.

Delano Paddy Daddy Parade
Where: Delano District | 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
One of Wichita’s most beloved traditions is back! Join us Saturday, March 11, for the Delano Paddy Day Parade! The Parade will start at noon, and will include a food truck rally, kids corner, and street party.

Fake Paddy’s Day 2023 at The Artichoke
Where: 811 N. Broadway | 11 a.m.
Join us for our 39th Annual Fake Paddy’s Day Party! Music Lineup includes Nelson Franklin, Alan & Grant and DJs. Bangers & Mash! Mulligan Stew! Green Beer! Heated tent for a parking lot party! It is going to be a day to remember! $5 cover

Wagon O’Masters Paddy Party
Where: Naftzger Park | Noon to 5 p.m.
The event starts at noon on Saturday, March 11. It will be located at Naftzger Park and much of the area around Naftzger will also be closed off for the party, similar to the chili cook off.

Opening Day at the Brickyard
Where: 129 N. Rock Island St | Noon
Join us after the parade in Delano and celebrate our favorite day of the year with us– OPENING DAY! Enjoy Irish Drink & Food Specials, including our AMAZING Corned Beef Hash. Plus, bag pipers will be stopping through and music from Jeremy Spring will keep you going.

Luck O’ The Irish Cake Pop Decorating at Cake Stuff
Where: 8909 W. Central | 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This fun class will have everyone feeling lucky as they learn to decorate these adorable cake pops! Come and learn simple drizzle and sprinkle techniques, how to apply fun shapes and create a magical pot of gold including a rainbow at the end. Each student will decorate six cake pops, and all classroom supplies are provided.

■ Live In Concert: Dustin Arbuckle & The Damnations | March 24
Where:
 Augusta Historic Theatre
Join us at the Historic Augusta Theatre, 523 State St, Augusta, KS. It’s just a short drive from Wichita to enjoy amazing live music in a unique atmosphere! Dustin Arbuckle and The Damnations are not a band you can easily associate with one specific genre, and that’s how they planned it. Arbuckle, a veteran of the progressive roots music scene whose singing and harmonica playing first came into prominence in Moreland & Arbuckle, has been kicking up fresh dust with The Damnations since 2017.
