What to expect at The Kid’s Cove Play Cafe; an indoor playground and cafe for families

The Kid's Cove Play Cafe

There aren’t many indoor playgrounds for kids under the age of five in town. One recently opened in Maize, KS called The Kid’s Cove Play Cafe.

The new play place aimed at infants and toddlers is a combination of an indoor playground and cafe. The pictures made it look like it would be a blast for kids, so I took my daughter there to have a play date with her bestie.

The Kid’s Cove Play Cafe is available for open play, private play dates, birthday parties and more. Their services and prices can be found via this link.

A typical open play time price is $10. For our first time there, we were charged roughly $8.50 and that covered the entire duration from open to close on a Saturday. The price is very comparable to other indoor playgrounds we’ve been to.

The first thing you see as you walk in is the Tiki Bar. Scratch that, the first thing adults notice is the Tiki Bar. They serve a mix of lotus drinks and coffee.

The first thing the kids notice is the play area.

Since we don’t have a huge play area at home with all sorts of big, bulky play sets, this was like heaven for my daughter. There was a bit of everything for the kids to use their imagination and run around.

Looking at the whole area, I’d say it’s probably best for kids 0-4. One of my friends brought his five -year-old on a different day and just didn’t have the same level of excitement as the younger kids.

I could share pictures of what it looks like inside, but how about a video?

There’s also seating in the back for those who want to reserve the place for a party and have cake, cupcakes, all the sweets.

Overall, the kids had a blast, and yes, there were tears shed when they closed and my daughter had to leave.
