So I guess today is National Coffee Day.
Not sure what brought up this holiday because if it’s that easy, where is National McRib Day or National Deviled Eggs Day or National Claussen Pickles Day or National Frozen Pizza After a Night of Drinking Day?
Personally I’m not a big coffee fan, I drink it maybe once every other month if that. I don’t get the Starbucks sensation. I’ve had Starbucks three times in my life and each time was less than impressed with the amount I spent versus the satisfaction I received. I have heard though their Pumpkin Spice Latte is a slice of heaven……
But with that said, it’s another “holiday” that gets national attention. For you coffee lovers, Krispy Kreme is giving away a free cup of joe at their nationwide locations. I like Krispy Kreme but it’s just for their donuts, not coffee. If I am that tired and I need to wake up, I either buy the seldomly drank 5 Hour Energy Shot or I watch highlight videos of the Wichita State basketball team’s NIT win. So with that said, if you’re a fan of coffee go get yourself a free cup at Krispy Kreme or where ever happens to be your favorite spot. Come to think of it, where is the place for the best coffee in Wichita? I wouldn’t even know where to begin!
You must not have tried anything good at Starbucks
Not a fan of coffee either. I'm with you, what I've had from Starbucks was meh. Scooters, in Andover, is my coffee drinking family's favorite spot. Plus their weekend live music is pretty cool.
When my brother visited, he became quite fond of the coffee at The Donut Whole on Douglas.
