Happy Friday and National Donut Day All! Did anybody get donuts today? I stopped by Flying Donuts and they were sold out! I didn’t know that many people celebrated this holiday too!
Before anything else, we should send out our thoughts and prayers to the family of Tonya Tandoc who’s life was cut short this week. While I didn’t know her personally, I was like many others in the fact they they knew of Tonya and was a huge fan of Tanya’s Soup Kitchen. We were all aware of the impact she had on the foodie community here. She will be missed.

I spoke with Molino’s last week, one of the very anticipated restaurant openings I have on my calendar. Currently, they are hoping to be open by June 15th barring no other hurdles.

Tsunami, which was featured on our Must Try Menu Item Feature recently, has closed down as of June 3rd. They had a good run that was later hampered by management and ownership changes. They had such a fresh fast start and would later have issues that deterred many who frequented the place.
In it’s place according to Carrie Rengers is a new restaurant concept called SpringRo. It’s a unique concept that will be brought to Wichita that is almost like a mix of Chipotle and sushi that features spring rolls and spring bowl.
Call me intrigued!
