There are some big events in Wichita that you guys should be on the look out for.

Deli Day: A Taste of New York
This takes place at the Congregation Emanu El at 7011 E Central.
This takes place on Sunday, November 8th from 11 am – 3 pm if you want to dine-in. If you want carry out meals, then it’s from 3 – 6 pm. I’m sure you can still get carry out earlier but if you go after 3 pm be aware that you won’t be able to dine-in.
So what is it?
It’s Congregation Emanu El’s biggest fundraiser of the year. For $15 a person, you will get a delicious Jewish cuisine consisting of soup, an entree of either corned beef sandwich or brisket, sides, dessert and drinks. Imagine matzo ball soup and potato knishes AND the fact that you’re essentially eat for a good cause.
They will also have other food there like snacks and bakery items to purchase a la carte.
I’ve never been but I will be for sure this Sunday with friends. You can purchase tickets in advance or at the door. Every single person I’ve spoken to about this event has told me the food is just delicious.

Shocker Basketball
Shocker basketball kicks off their season this Saturday……technically.
Although Saturday’s game is just an exhibition, it’ll finally be nice for fans to be back inside Koch Arena rooting on the city’s favorite team.
My friends and I have had season tickets for several years and have just been counting down the days. Even though it’s against a D2 school in Hawaii Pacific, I will be rooting on hard as I need myself some 40% off clothes at Tad’s Locker Room the next day.
For those looking to go, this game will likely be the cheapest game you can go to in buying tickets on the second hand market.

Restaurant Week
For those who like to keep in touch with Wichita Foodie Events, here’s another one for you. Restaurant Week.
They’ve announced the next one will take place January 22 – 31, 2016. So mark that one on your calendars, more details to come.
