Operation Holiday in Need of Peanut Butter

The Following is a Repost from the Wichita Eagle
Operation Holiday, which distributes food and gifts to those in need during the holidays, said it’s missing a key ingredient: peanut butter.
The organization is hoping to collect 5,000 jars of peanut butter, but as of Wednesday had collected less than 300, according to a news release. The release called peanut butter “magic food” because it’s easy to eat and healthy for people of all ages.
Peanut butter can be donated at all Dillons locations or at Operation Holiday’s Distribution Center, 6225 E. Kellogg, or the Inter-Faith Ministries 829 N. Market.

From the Interfaith Ministries Site

Peanut Butter! 5,000 jars of peanut butter are needed by December 16. It’s the perfect protein for most of our Operation Holiday recipients – and kids like it! We also need canned fruit. And we always need financial donations. We purchase Dillons gift cards for recipients to buy their own perishable food items, so we need money for that. Donations can be made online or at our office, 829 N. Market

As an aside, I went up to Dillons and the jars are on sale!
