Plain and simple, Hot-2-Trot serves Nathan’s Hot Dogs; 1/4 lb All Beef Nathan’s Hot Dogs to be exact.
The cost of each hot dog is $4 and you get your choice of toppings which include:
Ketchup
Mustard
Spicy Mustard
Hot-2-Trot Slaw
Onion
Jalapeno
Relish
Chili
Cheese
Chips and drinks are a dollar a piece.
Hot-2-Trot is mainly for people looking for a quick meal on the go or who like hot dogs. Fortunately for me, I love hot dogs.
I ordered two different hot dogs that day. I had one with chili and jalapeno and the other with relish, ketchup, mustard, and onions.
Of course the speed is quick with everything being made right there. A quarter pound dog is filling let alone two of them. When it comes down to it, it’s a Nathan’s Hot Dog with your choice of toppings. There’s nothing overly special about them but if you love hot dogs, it’s a good quality dog right there waiting for you.
Four dollars seems to be the going rate for a hot dog at most restaurants, national chain, or gas station called QuikTrip or Burger King and so on and so on.
The gentleman working the truck was very cool. He explained to me how many events he attends with Hot-2-Trot and I was impressed by it. The guy works very hard and keeps a busy schedule.
Couple suggestions I would offer to Hot-2-Trot is to include pickles on the menu. The second would be to offer some suggested pre-made options. Sometimes people don’t like to make decisions, they want someone else to decide what toppings to put on a hot dog. So if they had a small little menu of “Chicago Dog”, “Spicy Chili Dog” or whatever as well as a create your own that showed which toppings are on there that would be really beneficial.
