The 14th stop on our Wichita Food Truck Tour brought us to one of the newer trucks in town called, Uno Mas!
They are a gourmet taco truck that serves them with such options as fish, barbacoa, chorizo, and al pastor. The cost per street taco is $3 which is exactly what you’ll pay at a place like District Taqueria.
You can Like them on Facebook to follow where they will be at.
For our stop to Uno Mas we wanted to try a little bit of everything. We ordered a total of five tacos; Carnitas, Baja fish, Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and Chorizo. We ordered two of the tacos with a yellow corn tortilla and three of them with the flour tortilla. When it came to the Salsa option, we told them to surprise us with each of the three salsas available: Serrano Tomatillo, Fire Roasted Jalapeno, and Arbol.
As with most trucks that serve Street Tacos, it did not take long for our food to arrive:
The gentleman taking my order said Uno Mas spares no expense in stuffing their tacos and it was the truth. They had to use two corn tortillas for each taco just to keep all the food together which was nice because who wants to eat a taco that just falls apart?
Of all the salsa options, the Fire Roasted Jalapeno was our favorite. It had the right amount of spice and heat to it.
I’m not sure it even matters which type of street taco you get because they were all amazing. Fish Tacos are either a hit or a complete miss and theirs were a hit; not overly fishy and fried just right. The Chorizo, Carnitas, Al Pastor, and Barbacoa all were delicious. Sometimes when it comes to street tacos, the meat can be really dry which makes the whole meal dry; that wasn’t the case at Uno Mas.
Uno Mas has been getting rave reviews from everybody and we can see why. This is another food truck worth trying in Wichita.
