Must Try Menu Item: Lina’s Breakfast Burritos

Welcome back to our “Must Try Menu Item” Feature where we go around from restaurant to restaurant and pick one item on the menu that everybody should try at least once.

This time around, it was the suggestion of a friend of mine. One of my buddies and avid participants of my blog, Damon, constantly texted me, “Dude, you have to try the breakfast burrito at Lina’s.”

Lina’s has two locations. We have actually written about them twice on the blog already:
Lina’s Mexican Restaurant Review
Second Lina’s Mexican Restaurant Now Open

This went on for quite some time until I finally caved in and tried it. When I did, I was instantly hooked. But I wasn’t sure if I subconsciously liked them because my friend did or if it was because I was fairly hungover that morning.

Anything that looks like that is sure to cure a hangover or at the bare minimum make you feel 40% better.

I had to have others try it just to confirm my opinions so I got some co-workers to order a couple. At $6.90 which includes tax, it wasn’t a hard sell to get some colleagues to give it a go.

For the pure size along, they knew it was likely going to count as not just breakfast but lunch as well. The breakfast burrito had all the fixins but I added in potatoes for fifty more cents; well worth the two quarters. Just from cutting it open in the middle, you knew you were in for a treat.

The tortilla was one of great quality, it kept the entire burrito apart. It wasn’t the type of tortilla that would rip apart. Texture was great; not too soft but not on the tough side either.

The actual burrito was described by one of colleague as “The best I have ever had.” She wanted me to go back and thank them for it. My response…. “How about I just write a review about it and hope they read it?”

They have other breakfast items on the menu if you ever stop by. The one I had is simply called “breakfast burrito”.

Give one of these a try and let me know what you think. Thanks to Damon for the suggestion. Some of my favorite times are finding a new item to eat from other friends or readers.

If YOU have a suggestion of a certain menu item we should try at a particular restaurant, comment below or shoot us an e-mail at wichitabyeb@gmail.com

Happy Dining!
