They don’t have a full menu available online but it is pasted on the side of their truck.

One of the big drawbacks is the lack of prices on their menu. We found ourselves asking for prices of most items. For those wondering, their street tacos are $2 a piece and they have plenty of meat options to choose from.

For our visit we went with a trio of different tacos (tripa, pastor and choriza) along with a Huaraches which was $8.

The food came out fairly quickly and on par with many other Mexican food trucks in town if not faster.

My friend and I were both new to Huaraches. For those unfamiliar with it as we were, it’s is a popular Mexican dish consisting of an oblong, fried masa base, with a variety of toppings including green or red salsa, onions, potato, cilantro and any manner of protein such as ground beef or tongue, and then finished with queso fresco.

We likened it to a soft flatbread pizza with a Mexican spin on it. It was a very plain looking dish yet very filling and delicious. A co-worker told me, it’s nothing like a flatbread pizza but to the human eye we definitely thought it looked like one.

…..and the tacos? Good God. Those were delicious as well; possibly one of the best tacos we have ever had from a food truck. The tacos looked so simple but were fantastic. Sometimes with tacos, the meat ends up being so dry but that wasn’t the case with Ricos Tacos El Torito.

With their hours running until 11 pm and Midnight, this is going to be a great option for me when I’m looking for a late dinner. I’m already excited to go back soon…… maybe tonight.

Add this food truck to your list immediately!
