For years, I’ve driven up and down central and past this white and brown building. The whole time I thought the place was boarded up and closed. I figured it was just one of those closed down restaurants that was abandoned.
Then all of the sudden, I saw a car sitting out front and another car in the drive thru. To my surprise, the place was actually still in business! To add more shock, the place wasn’t called Bierocks as the sign says but it’s actually M&M Bierocks.

There are three different types of bierocks to choose from: regular, with cheese, and with ham & cheese. For an additional 50 cents, you can get chips and a pickle with it. If you like ketchup and mustard, those are available only upon request.
I stopped by to pick up dinner for my family and went with a few of the bierock dinners along with a side of potato salad and baked beans. The sides were only 95 cents, so I figured why not.
While making my order, the lady seemed 100% disinterested in me being there. It was as if I was wasting her time. I would later amend my order to add more items and she seemed put off by it which it turn put me off. Oh well…..
Once I received my order, it was off to eat dinner with my family.
The bierocks came in at about 4 inches; surprisingly bigger than we had imagined it would be.
For us, we like to have mustard in our bierocks otherwise they would have been a little on the drier side. We both agreed that there was a strong pepper flavor to it. It’s one of the first things that hit you once you take your first bite. The cabbage also stood out more than the beef according to my brother. I, on the other hand, thought it was fine but the pepper flavor was all I could really taste.
The sides were definitely something I’d order again and perhaps the favorite part of my meal. It wasn’t your standard baked beans. There were some additional seasonings inside it to really give it that extra pizzazz.
The family felt it was decent for what we got. It was a cheap meal and somewhere my brother said he would go again. If we did, we would stick with just ordering the bierocks though and the sides. The pickles were nothing special and the off brand chips didn’t taste like anything. They were a “Barrel of Fun” potato chips but not a barrel of flavor.
While my brother said he’d go back again, I’m still on the fence about it. Between the less than stellar service and what I felt to be slightly average bierocks, I’d almost disagree with him but that’s why everybody has their own opinion. So if it’s something you’re interested in trying for yourself, please do so and let us know what you think.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
