At every place on Broadway, I feel obligated to order tacos. Here they were just $1.75 and came with three meat options: al pastor, barbacoa, asada. And having gone to a place called Gordita’s Norma, I felt obligated to order their $2 gorditas with the same meat options.
Neither took long to arrive. Once they did, I was off to town. The tacos were alright. I wasn’t too fond of the tortillas shells and the meats were good but not memorable. I will say the tortillas worked better for the gorditas. Using the same meats, I found it to be just ok again. Nothing there really blew my mind nor did it leave me dissatisfied. The meat was a little on the dry side but the salsa helped that out. It could have used some seasoning or something to liven it up.
It was a quick stop that came of left me craving more. With so many options on Broadway, this place felt like a footnote to me.
The service was excellent though and my server was super friendly. It’s a little gem on Broadway that was recommended by many so perhaps your visit could be much better.
