In Taco Bell’s quest to surprise people and get more foot traffic in their doors, they took a shot at burger joints and released their own version of French fries dubbed Nacho Fries.
Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries are your thick cut fries sprinkled with their Mexican seasoning. For just ONE DOLLAR, they come with a warm side of dippable nacho cheese. There’s an option to upgrade your fries and order them as Supreme or Bell Grande which adds beef, tomato and sour cream. For this visit, we opted just for the Nacho Fries.
At first glance, the container of fries looked nothing like what every ad and picture I saw. The containers in the commercials looked stuffed and crammed with fries. My container was very sad compared to the promotional pictures.
The container contained 15 fries which might not sound like much but you have to remember, it’s just one dollar. The fries are very well seasoned and have a nice crisp to them, you can certainly taste the small hint of Mexican spice on them as well. Most people I’ve spoken to love that the fries are a thick cut which makes it the perfect size for dipping into the nacho cheese. If you aren’t a fan of nacho cheese, you can always use one of their sauce packets as a condiment.
These Nacho Fries make for a great snack. I would bet my nieces would love these things and will find that out soon. My sister-in-law was quite surprised by them and didn’t think they were bad at all. Another friend was a big fan as well as her dog who ended up stealing most of the fries. So this is a big hit with canines as well.
