Il Vicino offering Margherita Pizzas for $3.14 to celebrate Pi Day (3/14)

The number π is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumfrence to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14159. It has been represented by the Greek letter “π” since the mid-18th century, though it is also sometimes spelled out as “pi“.

Pi Day, which also happens to be Albert Einstein’s birthday, has now been celebrated over the years by math fans all over the world but one restaurant in town doesn’t want you to be left out of the fun.

On March 14 (3/14), Il Vicino will be selling their full-size 10 inch Margherita pizzas for just $3.14159 or rounded down to $3.14!!! Better yet, this deal is available for dine in AND carry-out (limit of 10 carry-out at a time).

What better way to celebrate one of the most historic and beloved mathematical holidays of Pi with an actual pie?

Il Vicino hopes to beat last years sales of 1,200 Margheritas at Bradley Fair location along with selling over 800 at their College Hill location. They find it a fun day to promote their product and give back to their guests that have been dining with Il Vicino for 20 years now in Wichita.
