After having some tax trouble and closing down both Wings and Things locations, it looks as though they are back open for business. Right now it looks as though only their Central location is open with their east 21st street locale having their grand re-opening on April 2.
Wings and Things has been one of my favorite wing restaurants in town so it’s nice to see them back open with new management as their customer service was really starting to drop over time.
They even have an updated menu that hasn’t been posted to their website yet with some new items like fish tacos.
Many of their specials are still in tact such as their 75 cent bone-in wing Mondays and their 50 cent boneless wings Tuesdays.
I stopped in briefly to the Central location and the place looks the same but it’s definitely cleaner. The staff there did a great job of keeping it tidy compared to before hand when that wasn’t the case. Two ladies were manning the cashier station and did a fantastic job. They were polite, engaging and focused on taking care of all the customers. The cooks though had some issues in regards to customer service that hopefully can be worked out.
My hope is Wings and Things can get through all the issues as their food was really fantastic in its heyday. There’s a lot of competition that has opened recently and plan to so to last, they will really have to step their game up and maintain the quality.
