Gabby’s Peruvian Restaurant to move in May

Gabby's Catering

One of my little favorite restaurants around town is almost ready to move. When I say literally, I mean it. With only four tables inside, there wasn’t much available for seating. Currently located at 1713 W Douglas, Gabby’s Peruvian Restaurant will soon be making the move to 1002 S. Seneca in the old Breakfast Club spot.

When is the move? I stopped in last week and spoke with owner Gaby Kruskamp and she said they are hoping to be ready by May 5. The new location will be much larger with roughly 40 tables inside compared to the current number of four.  The move will also bring on an expanded menu and beer sales when the liquor license comes through.

I wrote about Gabby’s a while ago and raved about how this unique restaurant was one of the best in town and still stand behind that.

On my most recent visit, I had the Jalea Mixta which is Peruvian style fried tilapia with seafood and served with fried yuca, corn and salsa criolla. It was just another amazing meal with some of the best lightly fried seafood I’ve had around town.

I’m very excited for Gabby’s as this is one restaurant in town that does not get enough love.

Be sure to like them on Facebook to keep up to date on their move.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
