One of my colleagues has been telling me about a particular restaurant for a few months. It’s a stop her and her husband would frequent on weekends when looking for a good burger. Some other colleagues and I finally found the time to check out The 3 Amigos; a Mexican restaurant that specializes in hamburgers.

The feature items on the menu are burgers. They have single and double patty burgers along with more feature items that include a variety of different toppings. They serve hot dogs, chicken nuggets, gorditas, burritos and tacos as well.
There are many signs around the restaurant that really advertise their Hamburguesa Mexicana and Hamburguesa Ranchera. We opted to order both of those burgers along with the Hamburguesa Hawaiana along with all three tacos on their menu.
Let’s just get the tacos part of the lunch out of the way. While the tacos were good, they were fairly average compared to the other options around town. They only offered three basic options of asada, barbacoa and al pastor; none of which really stood out above the other. With so much competition up and down Arkansas and Broadway, they failed to meet the bar set by the competition.
But the lunch wasn’t a complete disappointment. The true winners of the day were the hamburgers. Of the three burgers, we ordered, the favorite was the Hamburguesa Mexicana. This burger was loaded with avocado, ham, cheese, jalapeno, ketchup, mayonnaise, tomato, mustard, lettuce and onion. There was a nice spicy after taste to it as well. If you really wanted to make it spicy, add in some of their red or green salsa. Both salsas provide tons of heat. One of my colleagues was raving all about it, thanking me for the invite and saying he would certainly go again.
The Hamburguesa Ranchera was almost like a taco burger. It’s filled with asada along with your regular hamburger toppings.
My favorite was the Hamburguesa Hawaiana. Many people say pineapples don’t belong in a burger but I’m unconventional when it comes to food and loved it. It was the perfect mix of sweet and savory.
The one drawback through I would say about 3 Amigos is their patties are fairly thin but that could be alleviated by spending an extra dollar for a second patty.

Some people may just want a plain burger and the colleague who recommended me 3 Amigos says thats her go to. But if you’re looking for a different type of burger with all the fixins’, give this place a try.
Happy Dining,
Eddy

Hamburgers in Mexico have thin patties, so that should be expected from places offering Mexican hamburgers.
This is the best little restaurant in all of Wichita !
