Ax-throwing bar, Blade & Timber, tentatively set to open in June

Blade and Timber

It was announced back in April that Blade & Timber was coming to Delano in May. With the month nearing its end, I reached out to get an update on this new trend that should soon be in Wichita.

At this moment it appears that construction will start in June and they hope to be open later that month. If I were to guess, I would say early July. They will begin posting updates on their Facebook page on the progress. If you want to sign up for email updates, you can do so via this link.

If you’ve never heard of Blade & Timber, you’re in for something totally new to Wichita. Delano District has been thriving with great places to eat and things to do, Blade & Timber will certainly add to that. They will bring the fun of wielding axes and sipping on drinks under one roof. I’d compare it to playing darts but with an axe.

There are options of shared lanes of sixes where you could be in a lane with strangers or private lanes where you rent all six spots. There are a couple of locations in Missouri. Prices at those locations cost $20 a person for an hour and a half in the shared lanes. Private lanes cost $120 for the same amount of time. No word on if those prices will be the same for Wichita.

Blade & Timber will be located at 535. W. Douglas in the same building as MilkFloat.

Be sure to like Blade & Timber on Facebook. In the meantime, here’s a YouTube video talking about Blade & Timber.

We will have more as this develops.

Happy Tossing,
Eddy
