Tucked away in the Crossroads Shopping Center is a small little bar that I’ve rarely heard people talk about. It’s a bar I’ve only been to once on a random little evening. Ironically on another random little evening, some new people I met invited us out to Bigs Bar and Grill. I was so impressed that I wanted to pass the word on about this watering hole.

I’m kicking myself for not taking pictures of the bar but it’s much larger than one would imagine. As mentioned, Bigs is in the Crossroads Shopping Center that also houses Gordmans and When Pigs Fly BBQ. At Bigs you can find pool tables, dart machines, jukebox, a popcorn machine, and plenty of seating for parties of all sizes.
They also have a full menu of appetizers, sandwiches, wraps and burgers.
On our visit, we ordered pickled fries, a few different burgers and frog legs which were on special that evening.
For a small little bar, their food was well above average. Their pickled fries were outstanding. Often times you’ll see pickled chips or fries on bar menus and find them to be extremely salty; such was not the case at Bigs. While I would not go as far as to say Bigs Bar and Grill will give you the best burger you’ve ever had, their offerings were still delicious. I had the Whiskey Tango Burger which came with cheddar cheese, bacon, onion straws and smothered in a bourbon glaze which completely made the burger. That glaze would have also made a perfect dipping sauce for the fries. And the frog legs? We all enjoyed them. You would have been hard pressed to find anything wrong with them; cooked just right and had plenty of meat on them.
Aside from the food, what I enjoyed most about Bigs was the people and the service. They were incredibly friendly, polite and down to the earth. That’s why I love going to little dives. Instantly being treated like you’re family when going to these places is what keeps me supporting the smaller little bars.
Check them out for a nice relaxing evening out for good drinks, food and service.
Happy Dining,
Eddy

When I lived across the street from there, used to go most weekends. Then we started going to poker night there. My wife and I met many friends there and really enjoyed going there. Now that we have moved away, we still tend to stop in there when in town. Their pork chops on the weekends were amazing.
