MoviePass has been in Wichita for some time now which allows moviegoers to see unlimited movies for $9.95 a month. With stock drops for their parent company, Helios & Matheson, AMC is hoping to make a move in the case MoviePass ever goes under.
Starting June 26, AMC is kicking off an extension of their loyal program, AMC Stubs Premiere. The new extension is called AMC Stubs A-List which allows users to see three movies each week for a monthly fee of $19.95 and comes with all the benefits of the Stubs Premiere membership like waived online ticketing fees and concession upgrades. Unlike MoviePass, you can watch in any format at AMC like Dolby Cinema or REAL3 3D.
The subscription, so to speak, allows you to watch three movies a week whether it’s every other day or in the same day. You must also use your three viewing each week as they do not roll over to the next week. You can still use your AMC Stubs account to reserve your tickets over your phone or on your computer.
According to AMC’s website, You can “buy with the confidence of our 12-month price guarantee and only a 3-month minimum commitment.”
