When it comes to wings in town, there isn’t much love given to restaurants south of Kellogg. Let’s change it up for a bit with our latest venture out to Flavors Wing Company. They are located in a strip center that also houses Little Caesars Pizza, China King and many moons ago, a Blockbuster Video.

The 1,800 square foot restaurant specializes in bone-in and boneless chicken wings and strips. There are twenty sauces and rubs to choose from. They also offer sandwiches, salads and other fried items. Here’s the menu:
If you follow our Events and Specials Calendar, you’ll know they have discounted wings during the week. My brothers and I stopped by for Wingsday Wednesday when it was 75-cent bone-in wings. We ordered many different sauces: Shocker Sauce (the spiciest sauce of them all), Cajun, Sweet & Spicy Sriracha, Mango Habanero, Go Ju Jang, Garlic Parmesan and Spicy BBQ.
The wings as Flavors Wing Company are a little bigger in size than Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop and provide much more meat. At this moment, I would say they are a bit bigger than Wings and Things as they’re quality seems to have gone down lately. We were very pleased with the wings. Of course the sauces are all subjective to what you like. With twenty to choose from, there’s likely at least one you like. For us, the Parmesan Garlic, Go Ju Jang, Cajun (rub) and Spicy BBQ were our favorites.
If you love spicy, their Shocker Sauce is their spiciest (it’s the upper left wings in the picture). It provides a major kick at the end. We ordered six of them and each only had one as that was all we were willing to put up with.
For the 75-cent wing special, we found it to be an incredible deal. Six wings cost us $4.50. At $7.99, that’s probably a little higher than we’d want to spend at $1.33 a wing. The speed it took to get our order was so much faster than the competitors. I’ve had some very bad experiences at Buffalo Wild Wings and my last visit two visits to Wings and Things took well over twenty and thirty minutes. So it was a breathe of fresh air to get wings in a timely manner.
Honestly, when it comes to wings we rarely go to places on days outside of their specials. If we were to go back, it’d definitely be on a Wednesday again as bone-in is our favorite. For a while there, Wings and Things was the favorite but now Flavors Wings Company has taken over that spot when it comes to dedicated wing restaurants.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
