Some friends reached out to me and wanted to grab some lunch. Knowing my constant desire to try out places I’ve never been to, they selected Burger Central. So we headed out to west Central to get a review of this new restaurant that opened earlier this summer.
3302 W Central
Wichita, KS 67203
Monday – Saturday: 11am – 9pm
Closed on Sunday
The menu which you can find at the end of this blog contains burgers, fries, shakes, salads, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches. With a name like Burger Central though, we stuck with just burgers for lunch. Between the three of us, we ordered a bacon cheeseburger, chili cheeseburger and the fire burger.
A couple of us ordered our burgers with tots and they accidentally gave us fries. The lady at the counter was quick to notice and gave us a heads up they had a fresh order of tots coming out soon. Kudos to her for recognizing the error and letting us know immediately.
As for the food, the tots and fries while very basic were delicious. The tots had that nice crispy shell that we all finished with ease. The burgers were also a hit with my friends. They both loved it and commented on how fantastic it was. These aren’t your juicy thick burgers you’ll find at other restaurants. The patties looked like they were going to fall apart but never did. The bun held it all in tact.
My fire burger was a little on the dry side and did not have much salsa on there if really any at all. While my buddies loved their burgers, I was a little let down with mine. I had no problems at all though with the fries or tots.
At Burger Central, you order at the cash register and they bring the food to you. The drink station is self-service but the cashier was kind enough to walk by and ask if any of us needed our drinks refilled. The service and speed were great and 2 of 3 loved the burgers. My friends said they would certainly go again while I might be a little hesitant for a return visit but you don’t have to follow my lead. I’d still urge you all to give them a try and see what you think for yourself. The prices are great so at least it’s an affordable meal and worth a try.

1 thought on “Burger Central Review”
I took the family over there for supper. We all thought it was really good for the price and value, and their fried pickles are the best in town. We ordered the larger size, and had to take half of them home, but they crisped up nicely in the toaster oven and were almost as good as fresh.
Also sent my brother-in-law over there this weekend and he thought they were some of the best burgers he’d had in town.
My only complaint is their parking is messed up and hard to get in and out of the lot.
