Would you be surprised if I told you another late night Mexican restaurant has opened up? Now open at 901 E Harry in the former El Papa Gallo space is Las Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7:30 am until 10 on the weekdays and then stays open until 3am on Friday and Saturday.

I didn’t know about this place until randomly driving around town and noticed a new restaurant had opened inside the former El Papa Gallo place on Harry. I quickly pulled in to get a quick look.
Their menu really covers the full gamut of all Mexican favorites. They have burritos, tacos, tortas, nachos, quesadillas, seafood, gorditas, tostadas, flautas, you name it.
For Taco Tuesday fans, they also have dollar tacos on Tuesday!
I literally just had lunch but forced myself to get a quick bite to eat just in case I never made it back there. I ordered a few tacos (lengua, al pastor and tripas). The tortilla quality was slightly lacking. They held up alright but once you added some salsa, the tortillas quickly became soggy. The meats were also about average. The tripas was a bit chewy while the al pastor and lengua were nothing to write home about.
