Many long time readers know that Ziggy’s has been offering a new pizza of the month all year long. We’ve stopped by for a majority of them and was able to make it out this month. The tenth PotM is one that was right up my alley.
Ziggy’s Pizza’s latest creation is the Jalapeno Popper. This is a delicious blend of jalapeno pepperoni, bacon, cheddar, jalapenos, pepper jack & mozzarella cheese on top of their cream cheese base. Holy moly was this delicious as advertised! I had a big group of friends out for lunch when we tried out their pizza of the month and it was loved by all. Our biggest regret was not ordering a second one so we could all get more slices.
There are many times pizzas with cream cheese has way too much of it. This was just light enough you could taste it but wasn’t overpowered by the taste. The jalapeno pepperoni and jalapenos did not make the pizza too spicy at all. The cream cheese base and blend of cheeses did enough to counteract the spice. In all my time ordering pizzas of the month, I’ve never gone back a second time strictly because I’m always on the hunt for more new food but this was good enough to get me to come back again. You. Will. Love. It.
The pizza runs $13.99. As usual, you can always save two dollars on Tuesday when all their pizzas are $2 off.
