If you’ve been following the blog for some time, you know that I’ve been trying to incorporate more recipes here. Scouring the internet and Pinterest is very overwhelming. It’s information overload.
Fortunately Jenny Myers, local photographer, has made my life easier with her latest cookbook. Cook ICT Volume 2 is now available in stores and restaurants around town as of today.
Her new cookbook is the second installment after her first volume release in 2016. The book features recipes from many popular chefs and business owners around town – many you may recognize like Bobby Lane, Jimmy Vo, Jason Febres, Katharine Elder, Natasha Gandhi-Rue and Patrick and Timirie Shibley.
I purchased the book this morning. And you can too now at places like The Workroom, Doo-Dah Diner, Yokoahama Ramen Joint, Watermark Books, Parsnipity Cafe or directly from Jenny Myer’s website at http://www.jennymyersphoto.com/cookict/. The book cost $26.
There are two parts I love most about the cookbook.
- The pictures are amazing. I won’t look at a cookbook that doesn’t include pictures of the meal. I want to be able to see what the final product should look like versus the mess that I attempted to create.
- The bio’s are a great read. Each of the chefs have a little Q&A section that have been fun to read.
- (I lied there’s a third). It’s all about our city of Wichita.
It really is a fantastic book. I cannot wait to start knocking out some of the recipes this weekend. I’m loving my copy already but I’m extremely biased as I was able to get mine autographed by Jenny herself. #IAmAFanBoy
I can’t wait to starting cooking! When I say “I”, I actually mean my family and girlfriend.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
