I recently wrote about a new cafe that opened up at the Farm Credit Bank Building. I stopped by Roxie’s on the River this past week and fell in love with what will end up being our latest installment of my favorite feature: “Must Try Menu Item“.
For this edition of the Must Try Menu Item, I ordered not just one but two of their most popular item – Roxie’s Famous Cinnamon Rolls. They run $3.99 a piece. While there’s debate on whether that’s worth it, I’ll let you in on a little secret. It is. They both came out nice and warm with a good amount of glaze smothered over the top. I love my cinnamon rolls light and fluffy on the outside with a gooey doughy interior. Each bite gave my taste buds a tingle. It was an addicting feeling that left me wanting more. My girlfriend had one and her sentiments matched mine.
Everybody has their preference on what they consider to be an amazing cinnamon roll. I’m sure there are plenty of cafes and pastry shops around town that also serve out wonderful ones. Regardless Roxie’s on the River is definitely in consideration for some of the best in town. Be sure to like them on Facebook.
