Citing slow sales and road construction, Jimmie’s Diner posted in a press release that their 2121 N Tyler Road location is set to close. Their last day of operation will be Monday, December 10.
After being in business for almost three years, the west location just couldn’t bring in the same type of business as their other two locations. All employees at their west locale have been offered jobs at the 3111 N Rock Road and 1519 S George Washington Dr restaurants. There are plenty of west side breakfast options in town like HomeGrown, Egg Crate Cafe, Copper Oven, Town & Country, Nancy’s A-Maize-N Sandwiches, and the just opened Cracker Barrel so competition is already fierce out there.
