While at the mall, we noticed there was a new spot being taken over at the food court. Out is the Indian vendor New Paradise and in is Taste of Soul Southern Chicken and Waffles. According to Simon Mall Properties, this is expected to be open by December 15.
The owners currently own a kiosk with the same concept in Oklahoma and plan to bring it here this month. After reaching out to them, it appears they are almost done and hopefully will be ready by the listed date.
According to Simon Mall Properties, they specialize in a hand-held chicken-and-waffle sandwich called a “wafflewich.” Taste of Soul also serves traditional chicken and waffles, featuring chicken wings arranged on top of a buttermilk waffle. This just continue the trend of more chicken related openings in Wichita.
