Old Spaghetti Factory coming to Wichita this summer

You’ve probably heard it by now, the Old Spaghetti Factory is coming to Wichita. Italian food in northeast Wichita is pretty limited especially as you move further east towards Andover.

Old Spaghetti Factory is a national chain based out of Oregon who just celebrated their 50th anniversary. They originally opened in 1969. There are 42 U.S. locations with many of them in California, Washington and Oregon. The closest Old Spaghetti Factory is located in St. Louis.

Unless one opens between now and this summer, the 43rd location is set to open in the Waterfront in the former Fox & Hound space. They are planning to open in June or July. With how openings usually go, you can likely expect the latter.

Let’s not confuse the Old Spaghetti Factory with Spaghetti Works in downtown Wichita which ironically closed for good fifteen years ago to this date on January 11, 2014. How’s that for a coincidence?

The restaurant is very popular for their decor which traditionally features antiques, including chandeliers, brass headboards and footboards as bench backs for booths. Each restaurant’s most prominent feature is a streetcar in the middle of the restaurant with seating inside.

The menu houses many popular Italian favorites. You can view their menu on their website here. It doesn’t include pricing but I pulled up some online menus from other locations in the northwest. A vast majority of the entrees range from $14-18. For example, here’s a better idea of their pricing based off of a Utah location which doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be the same here. I’m just using it as a baseline. GrubHub Menu.

So what do you guys think? Are you excited?

Happy Dining,
Eddy.
