Inside the Wichita Museum of Art sits a little restaurant on the second floor. The Muse is home to new American cuisine served in a beautiful atmosphere overlooking the grounds of the Wichita Museum of Art. At least that’s what their site description says.

It was a quick lunch visit before a WSU basketball game. We went with the cranberry chicken salad croissant and the poached eggs hollandaise. It did not take long for our food to arrive which was a big plus.
The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was very delicious. I love poking into an egg and seeing it run. It came with a nice thick cut of ham that was tender and grilled with a nice bit of char. The cranberry chicken salad croissant, on the other hand, was described as just OK. My girlfriend wasn’t too impressed with it noting that there was such a minimal amount of chicken salad inside. It was mostly just the croissant which made it feel lackluster. The soup however was a big plus.
What’s nice about the Wichita Art Museum is it’s free on Saturdays so mixing that in with a quick lunch at the Muse could be a nice combination.
Our big complaint that afternoon was the service. Aside from the food arriving in a very timely manner, the service was a little on the slow end. Our server seemed to enjoy conversing with other employees than focusing on tables which meant it took a while to get refills and pay our tab.
Here’s the menu:
Happy Dining,
