First look at Wichita’s newest Hawaiian restaurant, Mo’s Hut

Mo's Hut
On Monday, the doors will be officially open for Wichita’s newest Hawaiian restaurant, Mo’s Hut. We were given an opportunity to attend their friends and family event and get a first hand glimpse at what diners can expect. Fans of their food truck will be excited to know, the brick-and-mortar version is just as good…. if not better.

Mo’s Hut is located inside the former Wings & Things space on Central. Inside the layout is nearly the same in regards to seating. You order everything at the register and wait for your number to be called to pick up your food.

While they were extremely busy without an open seat in the restaurant, the food still came out fairly promptly given the number of family and friends there that evening.

For dinner, we ordered the chicken katsu, loco moco, beef teriyaki and the kimchi fried rice plate to go. As mentioned earlier, the food tasted just as good as it did from the food truck. My family just loved the “world famous loco moco”. My brother called it amazing. I had the kimchi fried rice plate and it was extremely filling. The sausage provided plenty of heat and flavor. I might have eaten the entire plate in record time.

It’s time to get excited as you now get your shot to try them Monday, February 18 for their grand opening. Doors will open at 10am which should allow some people to beat the lunch hour rush. If you go, feel free to post your comments. I’d love to know what you think.

Here’s their menu:

Happy Dining,
Eddy
