Over a week ago, we hinted at a new restaurant and bar coming to the Douglas Design District. Well the cat is out of the bag now.
Azucar Social House is hoping to be open by May of this year.
The new restaurant will be located at Douglas & Hillside with the exact address being revealed at a later date. The owner plans to fill the menu of the upscale bar and grill with many Latin themed foods but she wants people to know they are not specifically a Latin restaurant. There will be other items like butternut squash soup as well as bar fare like hot Cheetos mozzarella sticks. There will also be a tequila tasting room.
The outside will feature a pet-friendly area with yard games and activities similar to what you can find at Norton’s Brewing Company.
Azucar Social House tentatively plans to open Tuesday through Sunday and will be closed on Mondays. They’ll be open for lunch and dinner. On Sundays, they will open early to serve a brunch menu.
