The unheard of secret called Brianna’s Bakery

It’s a very tiny little shack just off of Harry in south Wichita. With just 115 likes on Facebook as of this writing, they are ones to get a lot of exposure. When it comes to Mexican pastries, Juarez Bakery is often regarded as the best in town. While they are great in their own right, we cannot forget about the little player that resides in the small pink building that you could easily drive by if you weren’t paying attention. They’ve been around for over a year now as well. I’m talking about Brianna’s Bakery.

I am not entirely sure how I even stumbled across this place. All I know is when I stepped foot inside the tiny little pink shack, there were two of the sweetest people just plugging away at the day. The main lady who I assumed was Brianna, talked me through everything they on available that morning.

They do it all: cakes, donuts, croissants, sandwiches, sweet breads, cookies, and desserts in a cup. It was more than just your typical Mexican pastries. Everything there was also $2 outside of sandwiches which were under $3.

I tried to grab a little of everything. Since it was breakfast time, I figured it was very important to grab some tiramisu in a cup, slices of cake and a croissant for safe measure. The croissant was so light, fluffy and filled with ham, cheese and spinach. It made for a wonderful breakfast.

But any great breakfast might as well call for dessert and that’s where the tiramisu in a cup played in. Ladies and gentlemen, it was so delicious that I intend to go back this week to buy a few more cups. I brought the slices of cake over to my barber shop and they had no problems finishing it. My personal barber who hails from Mexico and has been a great resource of Mexican food knowledge for me called it the best cake he has ever had so far. He noted it wasn’t too terribly sweet, moist and just perfect.

I walked out of there spending just $10. It was an incredible value that was affordable enough for me to buy extras to share with others. I 100% intend to go back soon and possibly pick up some Valentine’s Day gifts while I’m there. The funny thing is, I’m not really much of a sweets guy but Brianna’s Bakery was good enough to convert me.

While Juarez Bakery is fantastic, do not sleep at all on Brianna’s Bakery. They are just another great affordable hidden gem in this city. Follow them on Facebook to see more of their delectable creations.

Happy Dining,
Eddy

  1. Did you call to warn them about what’s about to happen? You’re like Wichita’s Guy Fieri, uncovering hidden gems that get overrun by the sudden notice.
