It was national cereal day last week. In honor of the holiday, we wanted to celebrate properly and tried a new product from General Mills.
In the new product twist, General Mills mixed the world of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and churros to create Cinnamon Toast Crunch Churros. Available for $3.64 at Wal-Mart, this new twist really isn’t much of a twist at all. The cereal provides the exact same seasoning from the cereal on a different shape. Instead of the squares, you get churro-like chunks which seems to be crunchier than the regular squares. So crunchy that the cereal almost felt stale.
It’s really the same box of cereal but in a different shape. It’s like eating Alphabet cereal but with the letters being in a different language. The minor difference is the different churro shape seems to maintain its crunch better than the squares but still are much crunchier than we prefer. We were excited to see churro cereal because we love churros but there wasn’t much to get excited about once we opened the box.
We both preferred regular Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Now to try the new Peeps cereal…..
