March round up of new restaurants on the horizon

Since we last updated everybody in early February, a bunch of new restaurants have been announced. Let’s revisit in our March round up of what you can expect to be coming Wichita’s way.

Some of you may remember Andrea Walter who appeared on Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge. This will allow her to sell her cookies at all the popular food truck gatherings and others events. She’s aiming to be ready to go by April.

Douglas & Hillside
The Latin restaurant and tequila bar hopes to be ready by May. It’ll be an upscale bar and grill that will serve a menu of Latin and American foods along with a plethora of tequila to choose from.

One of Wichita’s oldest restaurants will be making a comeback this spring when the once popular supper club returns this spring in the space most recently occupied by Riverside Cafe in southwest Wichita.

Little O
Food Truck
The food truck from Noble House will specialize in sushi and oysters. You can expect this one to be out in a couple months if not sooner.

Poke Mix
Northeast corner of 21st & Webb
An east side Poke Mix that will include coffee, tea and bob is coming to northeast Wichita at 21st and Webb right by where the new Andy’s Frozen Custard is opening. The owners are hoping for an May opening.

The sequel to Yokohama Ramen Joint will be arriving to east Wichita this summer. They will be serving liquor and plan to be bigger than their original location. The owner has not unveiled where he intends to open his second restaurant.
