New seafood restaurant hoping to be open within a week

There’s a new seafood restaurant coming just in time for the Lenten season.

Crazy Crab Seafood is set to open at 511 S West Street in the former Kirin Court location as well as Chi Chi’s before that. For Crazy Crab’s sake, I really hope they did a good job of renovating the interior as the place really started to fall apart and show its age over the years.

I spoke to the owner this morning and he told me he hopes to be open by the weekend if not by next week. Of course you should always take any local restaurant’s opening date very loosely as anything can change. He said if all goes according to plan then he should be ready for a noon opening on Saturday but couldn’t commit to that date.

Once they do open, their hours will be Sunday through Thursday from noon to 9:30pm and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 10:30pm. They will be the latest restaurant opening to feature crawfish and crab legs since Mama Nith’s Crawfish opened a few months ago. So far they’ve only made their lunch menu available which will be from 11am to 3pm from Monday through Friday.

And for those people looking for a private room to hold a dinner, they will have a party room available. No information yet on the price to reserve.

Be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay up to date on their opening.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
