We all know about Dollar Taco Tuesdays thanks to the calendar page. One restaurant wanted to do something a little different. Las Mananitas offers gorditas for one dollar on Tuesdays!

Las Mananitas Restaurante hasn’t forgotten about the taco fans. They have tacos for dollar on Wednesdays but separated themselves from the pack on Tuesdays.
Every visit to Las Mananitas also comes with complimentary chips and salsa. I really love their thicker chips. While it’s a little tough to dip into the runny salsa, it’s still a great combination.
The dollar gorditas come with your choice of meat options which include steak, chicken, pork, steamed beef, shredded beef and a la Mexicana which is steak with pico de gallo. They have two different styles of salsa that also come with the gorditas that provide varying levels of heat; both of which are fantastic.
Now for the gorditas themselves, I enjoyed them and three was a good number to order. They are packed tightly with plenty of meat making them a fantastic value. While I wouldn’t put them in the same category as my favorite, Gorditas Durango, others may see differently since the restaurant had a steady flow of traffic of people ordering the same. There was a seasoning in the meat that I couldn’t really detect but it slowly grew on me. It was definitely something different that I wasn’t familiar with. Besides that, I really had no complaints.
Besides the water refills a little on the slow side, everything else was quick, friendly and a nice little lunch stop. I would definitely go again to try some other items.
