Tacos Irapuato Review

Just when you think you’ve been to every taco truck on Broadway, you learn of a new one. Thanks to the Foodies Discussion Group, I came across Tacos Irapuato. They are a small local truck that is parked near 29th and Broadway only on the weekends.

The menu consisted of many common favorites found at many similar trucks. Tacos and gorditas were $1.75. Tortas were $4.50 and then it was $5 for burritos and quesadillas. On many of these trucks, we typically go with tacos on our first visit.

We ordered a variety of different tacos that included asada, pastor, lengua, buche, and tripa. There were numerous customers driving up our entire time there ordering food. It was impressive to see how busy they were in the middle of the night. With all those customers, it took around 10-15 minutes for our food to be done.

Over the years, we’ve been to numerous trucks in north Wichita and unfortunately we found Tacos Irapuata to not reach the standard set by others like Ricos El Torito a little further south at least by our opinion. The al pastor was a little dry side. The other meats were cooked properly but just missed something to really leave a memorable meal. The buche was also a little bland. The big bright spot were the salsa options, both of which were really spicy and flavorful.

Tacos Irapuato might be up your alley and preference for tacos. They had plenty of customers so they were doing something right. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t for us.

Here’s the menu:
