Fresh off the heels of the “Most Liked Burger” bracket, we carry the momentum into the next bracket. With other challenges going on around the media, I made the last second change to switch from BBQ to the world of pizza.
It’s another hot button issue in the food scene. While there are fewer places to get pizza in the area than burgers, this one could be more interesting. I think if you ask people what their favorite pizza is, you’ll get a bigger variety of answers than compared to choices for people’s favorite burger.
Now for the bracket. Last year, I asked people what their favorite pizza was and used those answers to compile and seed the bracket. The most popular answers were given the top seeds and so on. Also unlike burgers, you won’t find the reach for different pizza places to be too spread out. Left out of this bracket are the uber popular national chains like Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, etc. You also will not find restaurants located outside 20 miles from downtown Wichita.
REMEMBER, the results of this post don’t necessarily mean they are the best pizza but more of which place has the most online support thus Most Liked. So if your favorite place doesn’t win, please cry to your parents….. not me. This all comes down to social media support on Facebook. In the end, I hope you can find some new pizza options you may have never heard of or tried! And just like the previous bracket, I will not be voting in any bracket. This will be left strictly to the general audience.
I do have ONE REQUEST. When you vote, ask yourself if you’re voting for what you truly feel is the BEST PIZZA or if you’re just voting to support said place based on other reasons. Obviously there is no way to regulate it but I just wanted to throw that out there.
Starting this week, you will find a poll featuring one restaurant matchup on the Wichita By E.B. Facebook page to vote for your favorite. There will likely be a couple days early on where there are two polls. It’s crucial I time this all out to be completed before my baby arrives. I don’t want to be stuck in a hospital being concerned with a pizza poll! Yes…. bloggers take paternity leave too.
So with that said, here’s the unveiling of the bracket.
May the best pizza win.
