The kids wanted dessert so who in the family was chosen to take them? Yours truly. I wanted to take them somewhere we haven’t been to in forever. Our destination? Yo-B where the world of burgers and frozen yogurt are combined. They are located downtown in the same area as the Warren.

Let’s start off with the focus of the kids. The frozen yogurt set up is exactly like every one you have probably seen before. Nothing is changed. The difference between Yo-B and the only other in town Peachwave Frozen Yogurt was the price. At Peachwave it was 59 cents an ounce while it was 55 cents at Yo-B.

With froyo, you know what you’re getting. If you don’t, then you probably didn’t get a sample cup to try out the flavors.

The kids have always enjoyed frozen yogurt and this visit was no different.

They also have a full menu of food. There are a selection of burgers to choose from along with gyros, chicken strips, sandwiches and an assortment of fried sides.

The fries were the thick cut that could have used a little more seasoning. I’ve had the burger at Yo-B before and I’m not sure what had changed but it wasn’t as good as I remember it. The patty was on the dry side. The Yo-B sauce offered a sweet zing to it that I enjoyed but for the purpose of the burger, it seemed to really mask the blandness of the patty. Thumbs down on the burger for me on this go around.

As for the chicken tenders, the kids finished it off quicker than most times we’ve gone out to eat. But there was a reason behind it. I told them, they couldn’t have dessert until they finished lunch. Bribery is amazing.

Final thoughts on Yo-B was to stick more to the dessert side. If you’re hungry and already there, the food was OK but by no means memorable. I would go there again solely for the frozen yogurt. There are so many other options to eat in that area of town.

Here’s the menu:

Happy Dining,
Eddy
