I think it’s safe to say the heat is picking up which means more people will be outside. Several food truck rallies have already begun. Yep…..it’s food truck season!
The food truck scene has continually grown through the years with even more still coming. Let’s face it, there are a TON of trucks and sometimes choosing which ones to go to can be a task.
There are plenty of food trucks that get plenty of buzz so today I wanted to point out five food trucks around town that you should give a try this summer. These are five, I have personally gone out to, definitely recommend and think the reader base would enjoy.
They don’t get as much love from other community sites, so let’s give them some love here.

Churros El Carnval
This little truck that parks out on the weekend just west of 21st & Waco serves some of the best churros you’ll ever have. I mean c’mon! It’s a CHURROS truck. Not too many of those just driving around town.

Manny’s Tacos Xclusivos
Of course one taco truck was going to make this list. These guys usually park out in southwest Wichita. Their parrillada tacos dipped in consume is the stuff dreams are made of….. along with probably every other truck on this list.

Urban Skillet
If you love nachos, do yourselves a favor and stop by this truck. Last time I had them was around March Madness and it was awesome. I see a revisited review for this truck in the future.

The Diamond Plate
When it comes to sandwiches, this truck left a lasting memory. Since I’ve been venturing out and trying new trucks, it’s been a while since my last stop but it’s high on my list to return to this summer.

Suga Mama’s Soul Food Kitchen
Soul food favorites on a food truck is enough reason to get me out of the house. The chicken and waffles we had were heavenly. Items on the menu rotate which gives us just another reason to return.

This is just a very small sample size of all the great food trucks out there. I could easily name 15-20 more but for the sake of your wallet, this is a small attainable list to knock out this summer on your ventures around town.
