Must Try Menu Item: Jambalaya at Todd Brian's Brick Street Cafe

This particular feature is nice and easy. It answers a question many people have when they enter a restaurant. What do I order? I’m here with the assist. For this segment, I stopped by Todd Brian’s Brick Street Cafe & Tavern. It’s a little restaurant located right by the downtown Warren making it a convenient spot for a quick meal before a movie. I recently stopped by for lunch to find ONE item that I want to recommend. Hope you enjoy the latest installment in the “Must Try Menu Item” feature.

Todd Brian’s serves American and Cajun food on the menu. Now I can get American food all over the place and Cajun options are very limited in Wichita to a few restaurants. With that in mind, I want to recommend something from that side of the menu: jambalaya. It comes with sausage, chicken, shrimp and rice and is worth every bite of its $13.99 price tag.

It was a served in a big bowl that no picture could do justice. There were nice big thick chunks of chicken and shrimp inside along with a plethora of sausage hiding underneath. It had a blend of Cajun seasonings that was very flavorful and offered a bit of spice to it that any palate could take. It’s the good type of heat that keeps you coming back for more. Of course I say this and somebody’s going to order it and email me that it was too hot. I’ll be perfectly honest. I had no idea what to expect going in. I stopped by Todd Brian’s when they first opened but don’t have too many memories of it. That was years ago but was glad to finally go back and try something that had caught my eye earlier.

On top of the food, the service was great. It was very timely considering it was all over the lunch hour. Get yourself some jambalaya and let me know what you think in the comments below.
