When it comes to Indian food, you may be like me. You don’t know much about the food besides the fact that you like it. And for that reason, you stick to the buffets since it gives you a broader selection of items to sample. There’s one place out there that has set the bar for how it should be done; that’s Kababs.

Kababs serves a daily lunch buffet from 11am – 3pm. In the evenings, they have a menu of Indian and Pakistani specialties made with vegetables chicken, beef and seafood. The buffet costs $11.99. It’s $7.99 for kids 6-10 and free for 5 and under. On the weekends it’s $13.99. On Friday and Saturday evenings, they have the buffet as well which cost $14.99. Regardless of the price, it’s worth it at any time.
When I talk about setting the bar, I’m referring to all aspects of the business. For starters, the interior is very inviting. There’s plenty of comfortable seating at tables that are always clean.
Then there’s the food. The line consists of items like chicken biryani, veggie biryani, tandoori chicken, kababs, egg curry, basmati rice, naan, beef nihari, eggplant, sawaiyan vermicelli dessert, and so much more. Take a look:
It’s one of those buffets where you’ll like probably 90% of the items if not all of them. Everything felt so fresh and straight out of the kitchen perhaps because it was. Lunch times usually draw a good crowd and the staff did an excellent job of refilling everything. If you looked at the pictures above, you may have noticed that all the stations were stocked.
Some of my favorites on my multiple visits included their cous cous salad, chicken biryani, and kabobs. My absolutely favorite item on the buffet line was the chicken Jalfrezi wings. There’s always talk about best wings in Wichita and you cannot sleep on Kababs! The wings were flavorful and offered a nice kick of heat that awakened by taste buds. I would go back strictly for the wings.
To round out the entire lunch, the service there was impeccable. Drinks were always full, stations were filled up, tables were bussed quickly and the staff was so helpful in answering any questions people had.
Kababs really nailed it in every single aspect of a dining experience. I will always be one of their biggest fans.
