Today is the day. It’s time for the opening of Wichita’s first Trader Joe’s. Doors open at 9am this morning.
The popular grocer is located at Bradley Fair Shopping Center at the south end where Fresh Market used to be. If you’re curious about size, it’s 11,000 square feet.
After today’s opening, hours will be daily from 9am to 9pm.
There will be lots of items in the grocery store that you can’t find elsewhere in town. The store manager, Chris Evans told me he likes to find items that are unique and only had at Trader Joe’s.
Unfortunately one of those items won’t be the popular selection of wines found at other Trader Joe’s. At the current time our liquor laws prevent that from happening but you can purchase beer there.
