The Wichita restaurant community was hit with tragedy back in July when, Chuck Giles, the owner of Neighbors Bar & Grill was shot and killed.
Not long after, the restaurant was put up for sale in hopes someone would take over and reopen the restaurant. The Wichita Eagle reported that the owner of the Sweet Spot stepped in and planned to open the restaurant.
That day has arrived and the New Neighbors has officially opened.
I haven’t been in to check it out yet but made the call and confirmed they are indeed back open.
If you’ve been missing out, head on over to 2315 W 21st Street. I was told by one of their employees, they planned on keeping their regular hours so they’ll open 7am to 9pm everyday except for Sunday when they close at 8pm. I plan on stopping by soon to get more details and see what, if any changes were made.
