One of Wichita’s biggest bazaars takes place this weekend

One of the biggest bazaars in Wichita will be taking place at my alma mater, home to the last place I ever had straight A’s, Church of the Magdalen.

The event takes place this Saturday, November 2 from 9am to 4pm. The church is located at 12626 E 21st Street.

Food will be available all day starting at 9:45am until they run out from the Magdalen Kitchen along with the ever popular Vietnamese Kitchen. Be aware, they DO run out of food.

Such food includes:

  • Pulled Pork Sandwiches
  • Chicken Salad Sandwiches
  • Corn Chowder Soup with Pretzels
  • Brownie and Pumpkin Bars
  • Huge Cinnamon Rolls

The Vietnamese Kitchen is back popular demand and always a sellout. For almost 15 years, the Vietnamese community of Magdalen provides Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoon, Fried Rice, Lo Mein, Spring Rolls, Combination Dinner, and more.

Admission to the event is $3 and there is a free shuttle service with pick up from Trinity Academy should you not be able to find parking. Strollers are not allowed at the event due to safety concerns.

Raffle tickets will also be sold until the 4:00 pm drawing. You don’t have to be present to win.

This is a popular event that has garnered huge turnouts. My family goes nearly every year. If anything, stop by for the food!

Happy Dining,
Eddy
