Thanks for stopping by! From the start every blog, expense to keep the site up has been a one man job. Readership has grown over the years which has increased the cost to maintain the site. Providing Wichita with a great free resource to highlight businesses and restaurants has been a lot of fun.

Aside from working my 8-5 job and raising a family, this has mostly been a full-time hobby that’s extremely time-consuming and costly but still a joy to do. If you would like to help support the site in anyway, your patronage would be greatly appreciated.

While the budget at Wichita By E.B. is extremely low, I’d like to give small tokens of appreciation:

$5 – Thank You Level
Recognition on our Patron page for a year.

$10 – Sticky Level
The above + a Wichita By E.B. sticker so you can display on your laptop, food truck, door, mailbox, car bumper, or even on your face.

$25 – Magnetic Level
The above + a Wichita By E.B. magnet that works great on fridges! Show all your houseguests that you are a supporter!

$50 – Koozie Level
The above + a Wichita By E.B. koozie! Drink in style with the best koozie in town!

$100 – Feature Level
The above + will receive top level recognition on our Patron Page for a year and a Wichita By E.B. mousepad. Work more efficiently with this custom mousepad!

$150 – Business Sponsor
The above + your business logo (if appropriate) on our Patron page for a year and a social media shoutout.

Two Alzheimer Benefits

There are two events taking place this weekend with money going to benefit alzheimer related causes.

The first takes place at Crafted. On Friday, October 11, just mention Alzheimer’s upon ordering and 15% of your check will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The second takes place Saturday, October 12 at Aero Plains Brewing. They are having their 1st annual Alzheimer’s Ugly Sweater Bar Bash Fundraiser. Get that Goodwill sweater and find those tacky plaid pants. There will be a musical performance, live painting demonstrations, auctions for items an ugly sweater contest. All of this with a $5.00 suggested donation at the door. For more information, check out their Facebook event.

Two-Year Anniversaries

Two establishments are celebrating their 2-year anniversaries this week.

The first is Lola’s Bistro. On Wednesday, they will have 20% off wines by the bottles, then on Thursday it’s half-price appetizers and $5 draws and then over the weekend they are randomly giving out $50 gift cards to customers. Don’t forget to check out out Facebook page where we are giving away a $50 gift card as well.

Next up is Augustino Brewing. They’ll have both sides open with live music and multiple different beers on tap. They’ll also have a limited food menu for the day. There’s also a raffle for a “brewer for a day package” consisting of working with Augustino on brewing a beer of your choice, complete with a private pre-tapping party for you and up to 50 guests (w/ $100 bar/food credit for the party). For more information, check out their Facebook event.

DINING SUGGESTION OF THE WEEK

Looking for a different place to dine this week that you may have never been to?

This week, I’d like to recommend Birrieria Tito over at 2815 S Hydraulic. They are a new little Mexican restaurant that specializes in birria along with other delicious food. On top of a fantastic menu, the owner is incredibly nice and they really epitomize a true “mom and pop shop”.

WHAT’S NEW

Not sure if you’ve heard of this place before but opening this Friday is Trader Joe’s. Their grand opening takes place at 9am following a brief ribbon cutting. The opening celebration includes music, food tastings, giveaways, a kid-friendly activity zone and more. The new Trader Joe’s is located at 2000 N. Rock Road at Bradley Fair.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
